Dense, mineral and quietly luminous — the ALATI Signature Salt Bar is the recipe that began the workshop. Traditional tallow soap layered with sea mineral salt and hand-swirled with a slow indigo infusion, so no two bars ever finish quite the same.
Sea mineral salt gives this bar its distinctive dense character and helps it cure into a firm, long-lasting bar with a close, creamy lather. The salt comes from Kalymnos — a small tether to the island that shapes the rest of the ALATI story.
Natural indigo powder is hand-swirled into the pour for the cream-and-blue marbling. Indigo has been valued as a plant pigment for hundreds of years; here it draws its colour from the plant rather than from a bottle, and no batch marbles the same way twice.
Grass-fed tallow provides the firm body a salt bar needs and the dense, creamy character of the lather. Olive oil brings its mild, creamy quality alongside. A small pour of coconut and castor is added for cleansing bubbles and lather that holds.
Unscented. The character is the salt itself.
Because our soaps are handcrafted and naturally coloured, every bar may vary slightly. That’s part of what makes them special.

Many of our oils are slowly infused with herbs, flowers and roots for weeks before they ever become soap. The colour shifts subtly from batch to batch — the way honest, naturally coloured soap should.
